Evergy is trying to help renters in Missouri and Kansas suffering from the impacts of COVID-19 over the past year.
The energy company has formed the Emergency Rental Assistance program to provide relief to those who rent their homes.
Manager of Customer Affairs at Evergy, Maria Lopez, says the relief isn't just for rent.
Lopez says Evergy will end its moratorium on disconnecting service May 2nd. Renters can apply for help through September. For more information, visit evergy.com/financialassistance or call 833-541-1599 in Missouri.
